In a good snow year, I describe the crazy wildflower explosion on Maroon Pass outside Crested Butte, Colorado as looking like someone dropped paint from the sky. Hiking this trail in late July should be on your bucket list for sure - it is jaw droppingly gorgeous. Be sure to allot lots of extra time for all the pictures you will take.
