On the pristine Osa Peninsula in southwestern Costa Rica, locals call Scarlet Macaws "rainbow crows" - as they're a very common sight and because of their raucous squawking. These beautiful birds mate for life and never go anywhere without each other, but they sound like a bickering old married couple with their noisy squawks.
